Living Well at The League: Trinetta’s Story

Trinetta is someone who has a lot to offer; with a huge heart, a wealth of creativity, and two very eager helping hands, she is the type of woman that people gravitate to at The League. As an extroverted participant of the Day Habilitation Program, Trinetta is well-known by employees, Wellness Center members, building visitors, and adults in the Medical Day Program, where she volunteers every day.

With an ultimate goal of independence, Trinetta balances her daily schedule at The League with equal parts exercise, meaningful work, friendships, and photo opportunities. She enjoys helping whenever she is able – whether that means reheating a friend’s lunch in the microwave or zipping up an open backpack, Trinetta is there to offer support with a smile. When she’s not wearing rubber gloves and an apron serving meals or wiping down tables, Trinetta is exercising in the onsite accessible Wellness Center.

For participants like Trinetta, access to resources, opportunities, and amenities that follow consistent routines is important for her to live well. At The League, she stays active, supported, and fulfilled in the activities and relationships that are available in the building. If there is a holiday-related party or event, she is there to enjoy and strike a pose for the camera!

Trinetta’s daytime productivity at The League infuses her entrepreneurial spirit with creativity as a part-time jewelry-maker. She loves to talk about fashion with fellow well-dressed individuals and has even sold some of her pieces at Meaningful Day Career Day events.

From staff members, to visitors, to participants, everyone is grateful that Trinetta continues to choose The League as her service provider. Her high level of engagement and noticeable boost in confidence are shining examples of how together, we are able to find purpose, experience joy, and live well.
