The League is grateful for the support of the Board of Directors, providing volunteer leadership to help guide our mission and grow our support in the community. The following list reflects our current Board of Directors for July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026.
David A. Greenberg is the current President and Chief Executive Officer of The League. In this position, he is responsible for the overall success of The League. Prior to joining the team at The League, David has held numerous hospital administration positions, most recently at Mt. Washington Pediatric hospital in Baltimore, where he was a Vice President, responsible for ambulatory services.
David holds a Master’s of Business Administration degree from Loyola College in Baltimore, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree from the American University in Washington, D.C. He has been a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland for more than forty years.
David is a graduate of the 2014 class of Leadership Maryland, 2011 Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Fellows Program, and the 2009 class of Leadership Baltimore County. He is currently a commissioner on the Baltimore City Mayor’s Commission on Disabilities, as well as the Baltimore County Commission on Disabilities. He serves on the boards of the Maryland Association of Community Services as well as the Rotary Club of Baltimore.
In 2014, David was awarded the Daily Record’s Most Admired CEO Award. In 2022, David was featured as a GAMECHANGER in Baltimore Magazine.

Kathy Blumke is the Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of The League, bringing more than 22 years of dedicated service to the organization. In her current role, she oversees all financial functions of the organization, including strategic planning and reporting, budgeting, and management and compliance of various funding streams supporting The League’s programs.
Throughout Kathy’s tenure at The League, she has developed a wealth of knowledge in nonprofit financial management. Before being appointed CFO, she served as Finance Administrator for over five years, where she played a key role in enhancing financial reporting and operational processes. She also brings valuable insight from her earlier roles within The League’s Camping & Recreation Program, where she managed full cycle camp financials and camper accounting. Her unique blend of programmatic and financial experience enables her to approach financial leadership with a strong understanding of service delivery needs within The League.
Kathy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Central Michigan University and was a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist from 2004 – 2021. She has completed several accounting courses at Anne Arundel Community College and is committed to using her skills to ensure that The League remains fiscally strong and mission-focused.

Renée Dash is the Chief Operating Officer at The League for People with Disabilities. In this position, she oversees all of the direct service programs The League provides, including Meaningful Day, Medical Day, Youth Autism Services, The Wellness Center, the Snyder Center for Aphasia Life Enhancement (SCALE), and the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Day Programs. Renée has held many leadership positions throughout her career, and just prior to joining the team at The League, she was the Director of Quality Operations at Inovalon, Inc.
Renée holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, a Master of Science degree in Nursing (specialization Nursing and Health Care Administration) from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Baltimore. She also received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Tuskegee University. Renée has over twenty years of experience as a registered nurse and health care administrator with expertise in quality assurance, process improvement, and operations management. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Jessica Holman is currently the Vice President of Community Services at The League. In this position, she manages community-based support funded by the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA). Before joining The League team, Jessica was the Director of Employment at Providence of Maryland.
Her professional journey began in 2005, and since then, Jessica has gained a wealth of experience in diverse roles and services within the field. At the heart of her work is a profound commitment to facilitating person-centered support within the community.
Jessica holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). She is also a Certified Employment Support Professional, underscoring her dedication to professional excellence in employment services. Recognized for her exceptional contributions in employment, the Maryland Association of Community Services (MACS) awarded her the 2023 Workforce Professional of the Year.

Michelle Johnson is the current Vice President of Youth & Recreation Programs with The League, overseeing the Youth Autism Services and Camp & Recreation departments. In this new role, she will improve operations for participants, staff, and management so that The League can provide exceptional programming for youth, adults, and families.
Michelle has held a number of leadership positions, most recently as Greater Baltimore Medical Center’s Director of Patient & Family Experience. Prior to her role at GBMC, Michelle spent fourteen years at St. Agnes Hospital gaining valuable experience in a variety of staff and leadership positions. Michelle has her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Howard University and her Master’s Degree in Nursing Education from Notre Dame of Maryland University. The League benefits from her experience with executive level leader collaboration, clinical education, and best standard practice implementation.

Rhonda Johnson is the current Vice President of Facility Operations for The League. In this position, she ensures all participant and customer relations are conducted with a focus on consumer advocacy and satisfaction. It is her responsibility to ensure that The League provides outstanding services and supports to our participants, community members and that staff providing direct support have the tools necessary to be successful in their roles.
Rhonda holds a Master Certification from Johns Hopkins University in Medical Billing and Coding, and has more than twenty years of non-profit management experience.
Rhonda is passionate about the quality of care and services provided to all of those who are served by The League.

Dawn Witherspoon is the current Vice President, Human Resources and Compliance. She is a human resources leader with more than twenty years of hands-on progressive human resources and strategic operations experience in the health-care and non-profit industries. Dawn also has over 10 years of management experience and significant experience with multi-site organizations.
She serves as a Subject Matter Expert with HRCI, which is the governing body of the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification. Dawn also serves on the Society for Human Resource Management’s (SHRM) Advocacy Team.

Lauren Yankolonis is the current Vice President of Development & Marketing at The League. In this position, she provides strategic direction for The League’s development and marketing efforts. Prior to joining the team at The League, Lauren was Executive Director for the Arthritis Foundation in Maryland and Delaware.
Lauren holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications from Towson University. She brings more than fifteen years of experience in the nonprofit field, focused on strategic planning, revenue strategy, volunteer and staff management, and communications.
Lauren is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Maryland Chapter, and is a volunteer with Empower4Life in Baltimore County, serving families affected by homelessness in Baltimore County.

Dr. Barry Gordon is a behavioral neurologist and cognitive neuroscientist whose work focuses on identifying and implementing better methods for improving language, memory, thinking skills, and learning in individuals with acquired and developmental brain conditions, such as autism. Dr. Gordon is the Therapeutic Cognitive Neuroscience Professor and a Professor of Neurology and Cognitive Science at The Johns Hopkins University and School of Medicine. He founded and directs the Cognitive Neurology/Neuropsychology Division of Hopkins’ Neurology Department, and founded The Memory Clinic there. Dr. Gordon received his BA/MD degrees from Pennsylvania State University and Thomas Jefferson University’s 5-Year Program, and MA and PhD degrees in Psychology from The Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Gordon lives in Pikesville with his wife Renee. They have have both been active supporters and advocates of The League since their son, Alex, began attending League activities more than fifteen years ago.
Scott Klein, MD, MHSA, is the president and CEO of Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital, a pediatric specialty hospital co-owned by Johns Hopkins Medicine and University of Maryland Medical System. He is a pediatric critical care physician and has spent his career in children’s hospitals. Dr. Klein graduated from a six-year BA/MD program at Lehigh University and Medical College of Pennsylvania. He completed his pediatric residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and a pediatric critical care medicine fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital. He has a master’s degree in health services administration from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. He began his career as a pediatric intensivist, caring for seriously ill children in the intensive care unit. He then incorporated pediatric hospice and palliative care into his work, helping children and families navigate life-changing medical conditions, including end-of-life care. As a practicing physician, Dr. Klein developed a fascination with how hospitals work and gradually transitioned into healthcare leadership serving in executive roles as chief medical officer and chief operating officer prior to joining MWPH as president and CEO in 2023.
Mindy Geppi’s volunteerism, community engagement, and philanthropic efforts align with her passions to support improved health, animal care, education, and disability rights. Mindy has served on the board of directors of the National Kidney Foundation, the St. Joseph’s Medical Center, and The Children’s Guild. She has also volunteered on committees for the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Maryland Chapter and Senior Dog Sanctuary of MD, Inc. In addition to contributing her time and resources to The League’s signature annual fundraising event, Mindy has chaired fundraising events for Habitat for Humanity, House for the Heart, Maryvale Preparatory School, and St. Paul’s School. Mindy is a lifelong resident of Maryland and a mother of two.
Ethan Nochumowitz is a Partner at Silverman, Thompson, Slutkin and White where he specializes in litigation of catastrophic injury, wrongful death and medical malpractice cases. He earned his B.A. from the University of Miami, and his law degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law. Ethan first became involved with The League in 2015 when he represented the organization on a pro bono basis in a litigation matter against Baltimore City arising out of significant overbilling for water and sewer services, recovering a substantial sum on The League’s behalf. Since 2016, Ethan actively has served as a member of The League’s Fundraising Event Committee, before joining The League’s Board in 2020.
Jason Perlow is the President of the Perlow Home Team of Monument Sotheby’s International Realty. A second-generation Realtor, Jason has acquired a wealth of expertise of the regional real estate market. He graduated from Boys’ Latin School of Maryland and is a University of Delaware alum with a degree in Business/ Marketing. By exceeding clients’ expectations with his “hands-on” approach to every transaction, Jason has earned an unparalleled reputation with clients and contemporaries alike. He has consistently been a top producing REALTOR® and ranked within the top 2 percent of agents nationwide. Jason has also co-authored the Amazon best-seller, The Essential Guide to Buying and Selling Homes (Insight from America’s Top Agents and Loan Officers).
Jamie Barnett brings over 25 years of leadership experience across Fortune 500 companies in manufacturing, power generation, and technology. As Director at BGE, he leads an operations team that maintains a resilient and reliable electric grid, while driving innovation through forward-thinking, people-centered leadership.
He is deeply committed to developing talent and building high-performing teams through mentorship, engagement, and a strong culture of belonging. His passion for supporting individuals with disabilities is personal—his mother’s journey with Aphasia following a stroke has inspired his lifelong dedication to advocacy and accessibility.
Jamie holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and an M.S. in Engineering Management from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC), and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. He and his wife, Crystal, have long been active in community service, driven by a shared belief in creating opportunities for all.
Jamie brings to the board a unique blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and heartfelt commitment to inclusion and empowerment.
Kris Meyer is a community volunteer and a certified Zentangle teacher. She and her husband John reside in Owings Mills with their two children and have been long time friends and supporters of The League. Kris holds a Master’s in Instructional Technology from Towson University and worked as an Elementary School Media Specialist in Howard County. Trained as an archivist, Kris organized The League’s archives, capturing years of historical information since The League was started in 1927.
Chandra Smith is an IT engineer currently serving the 508 IT accessibility team for the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).
She is a woman of faith, a poet by night, and a dreamer. With a passion for both elegant code and the power of words, Chandra finds beauty in the complexities of algorithms, just as she does in the cadence of a well-written verse.
Born to two disabled parents, Chandra was introduced to challenges and hardships at a tender age. Her father suffered four strokes by the time she was a teenager. Her mother passed away last year from Sarcoidosis, a debilitating lung disease.
Her mother’s battle with Sarcoidosis shaped her resilience and became her greatest inspiration.
Growing up in a low-income family, Chandra understood that education was her family’s ticket out of poverty. She embraced this belief wholeheartedly, becoming a first-generation college graduate with not just one but three master’s degrees.
With over a decade of experience in the intelligence field, Chandra’s career has been nothing short of remarkable. Starting at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), she worked as a Deloitte contractor before finding her place at the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).
Her journey at DIA started as just an IT engineer, but she soon found herself supporting the 508 office, a role she initially knew nothing about.
Determined to make a difference, Chandra immersed herself in the world of accessibility. She followed people with disabilities and engaged with disability communities to expand her knowledge. Whenever possible, she championed the cause of accessibility, juggling multiple roles, including serving as the Vice President of DIA’s chapter of BIG (Blacks in Government) and organizing the first-ever IT accessibility symposium at DIA.
However, life took an unexpected turn in the fall of 2021. Chandra’s health deteriorated, leading to a hospitalization that would change her life forever. Faced with multi-organ failure, she was put on life-support, and the medication that saved her caused sepsis, resulting in three life-saving amputations. In a coma for three weeks, she also suffered a stroke that affected the mobility of her right hand, her only intact limb.
But Chandra’s fighting spirit prevailed. Emerging from the hospital after a year and a day, including six months in a burn unit due to medical burns covering 25% of her body, she defied the odds and embraced a world that had drastically changed.
Every staircase became a hurdle, every email a creative challenge, and every familiar place a new adventure. Yet, armed with her indomitable spirit, Chandra faced it all head-on and returned to work.
Her resilience and determination did not go unnoticed. A year after being released from the hospital, she was crowned Ms. Wheelchair America 2024, triumphing in a week-long disability advocacy competition. With this new title, Chandra’s mission became clear: to spread awareness, promote advocacy, and change the world!
As a disability advocate, Chandra firmly believes that when we make things accessible for those with disabilities, the entire community benefits. She is committed to making digital content accessible to all, regardless of abilities.
Her vision for the future is inclusivity and equality, where individuals with disabilities have the same opportunities and experiences as everyone else.
Chandra’s story is not one of tragedy but of triumph and faith. She has overcome countless obstacles and continues to fight for a more inclusive society.
Ashley Ingraham Watts is the owner of Home Perspective, LLC, a business which provides home organization, moving assistance, and estate clearing services to the Maryland Area. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art with a Minor in Art History and Education through Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. Her experience in real estate, primary education, and the arts has cultivated an impressive creative and professional presence which has earned her recognition in Baltimore Magazine, O, The Oprah Magazine, and Entrepreneur magazine. Ashley’s community involvement with Garrison Forest School since 1995, The School of the Cathedral of Mary our Queen since 2015, and The League for People with Disabilities since 2020 has placed her in several leadership roles where she has served on special event committees and contributed foundational direction to the organizations’ benefit.
Colin Needham is a senior manager at SC&H Group, where he specializes in audits of healthcare providers, health insurance agencies, and not-for-profit organizations, while also serving as a member of the audit practice’s technology and innovation, quality management, and professional training committees.
He is deeply committed to leading with empathy and a service mindset while providing a sense of inclusivity and empowerment for all. His passion for The League’s mission and values comes from watching his grandfather and aunt’s respective journeys in living with disabilities, as well as his parents’ and grandmother’s dedication to being their champions and caretakers.
Colin earned his B.S. in accounting from the Pennsylvania State University and is a licensed CPA. He and his wife Brittany live in Cockeysville.
Andrew “Andy” M. Snyder co-founded the Snyder Center for Aphasia Life Enhancement (SCALE) in 2008, which merged with The League for People with Disabilities in November of 2014, effectively improving the quality of life for people living with aphasia and their families in Maryland. Andy founded Snyder Bros. Contractors, Inc. in 1984, acquired Kitchen Saver of Baltimore, Inc. in 1987, and was the Owner and Operator of Bath Fitter franchises throughout Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Virginia until his retirement in 2012. He was the President of the Maryland Improvement Contractors Association (MICA) from 1998-2000 and appointed by the Governor to serve on the Maryland Home Improvement Commission for fourteen years as a Home Improvement Commissioner. Snyder Capital, LLC currently operates as a consulting company to clients in the remodeling industry. Andy has also just finished his seventh season as Assistant Lacrosse Coach at New Town High School in Owings Mills but despite his many years of philanthropy, advocacy, volunteerism, and consulting, Andy is most proud to be The League’s “Real Beard Santa” for holiday festivities.
Janice Jackson is the Founder and Executive Director of Woman Embracing Abilities Now (W.E.A.N.). W.E.A.N. created in 2005, is a mentoring program servicing women and young ladies with varying degrees of disabilities. The mission of W.E.A.N. is to “wean” women and young ladies with disabilities from having their limitations be their focal point, thus having them living “with” their abilities. Janice is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Baltimore, where she teaches Ethical Studies. Janice entered the disability community in 1984 at the age of 24, when she was hit by and car received a spinal cord injury. Janice holds two Associate of Arts degrees, one in Human Services and the other in Mental Health from Baltimore City Community College. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Services with a concentration in Rehabilitation Counseling and a Master’s of Science degree in Administration from the University of Baltimore. Janice is a volunteer and peer counselor at Kernan Rehabilitation Hospital, in on the Board of Directors of The Image Center for Independent Living, and is on the Board of Directors of The Hoffberger Center for Professional Ethics at The University of Baltimore. Janice also serves as a commissioner on The Maryland Commission on Disabilities, and held the title of Ms. Wheelchair Maryland from 1993-1994.
Dr. Oyebukola Oyediran is a board-certified pediatrician who has 16 years of experience as a general pediatrician providing care to underserved populations of Baltimore City. Dr. Oyediran received her Medical Degree from Drexel University College in Philadelphia, PA and completed residency training in pediatrics at Crozer Chester Medical Center in Upland, PA. Currently employed as a Pediatrician for Jai Medical Center, she has been recognized by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as a Childhood Immunization Champion, as well as the recipient of the Jai Medical Systems “Certificate of Excellence” award for several years in recognition of her extraordinary performance and service to the community. Additionally, Oyebukola serves the congregation of New Hope Baptist Church through Christian Education and Health Ministry.
As Senior Vice President of Communications & Corporate Marketing at Walker & Dunlop, Chris formulates the marketing strategy and guides the execution of communications for the company’s core brand and its subsidiaries. His accomplishments earned him a Best in Biz Award in 2021, winning Silver for Marketing Executive of the Year among hundreds of nominees.
Chris has a 20+ year track record of developing innovative go-to-market strategies, delivering award-winning results, and driving revenue growth for mid-market and global high technology, financial services, and pharmaceutical brands. With an Executive MBA from the Stern School of Business, New York University, and a B.A. in Philosophy, cum laude, from Carleton College, Chris applies his technical and industry knowledge in marketing, branding, and digital design to his career as well as his personal interests.
Awarded the WAUSAU Leadership Award, Lofgren Fellowship, SRA Company Improvement Award, and SRA Community Service Award, Chris is also professionally associated with the CMO Club and Marketing Leaders of D.C. His passions include cycling and photography, and his work has been published in www.acreativedc.com, Washington Post, and Washington Business Journal.
