Transformative Programs with Purpose
Adult Day Programs – At The League for People with Disabilities, we believe wellness and purpose go hand-in-hand. The League’s Adult Day Programs provide individualized care to every participant, allowing them to learn about their wellness goals and pursue personal interests. In addition, our Multiple Sclerosis and Aphasia programs provide targeted support through enriching activities designed to nurture abilities.
Meaningful Day Programs – At The League, we understand meaningful days unlock powerful lives. Meaningful Day Programs like Day Habilitation empower adults to develop skill-building activities through participation and partnership with local Baltimore organizations and businesses. In addition, Employment Services promotes independence and societal integration for individuals with disabilities as they develop talent and confidence in successful job placement.
Youth Autism Services – Each child deserves to have the support they need to thrive. Our specialists for youths with autism provide intensive individual support (IISS), therapeutic integration (TI), family consultation, and respite services. Our youth can also enjoy the Camping & Recreation Programs which include weekend retreats to encourage life-changing experiences, new relationships, and long-lasting memories.
Community Services – The Wellness Center and League Industries encourage participants to get more involved in their local community through different types of participation. The Wellness Center provides a variety of fitness activities like swimming, weightlifting, land and aqua aerobics, and dancing. Moreover, League Industries, a printing, mailing, and delivery social enterprise, is open to individuals with disabilities.
Support Services – Behavior Support Services uplift people with disabilities to focus on developing functional behavior for family stabilization, societal integration, and personal independence. Behavioral consultation is available for participants to address any behavioral concerns. The League’s Personal Support Services Program has one-to-one support with a League staff member to discover personal passions, recreational opportunities, and any form of responsibility the participant is interested in learning.
Recreational Services – The League has created Maryland’s first and only nightclub for people with disabilities where participants 18+ can enjoy dancing, music, snacks, mocktails, spa services, and games. CLUB1111 is an inclusive environment encouraging individuals of all abilities to have fun in a judgement-free space!
